The Public event type table defines public events that happen at a particular place and time, are organised by an agent for a particular purpose, and are of interest to a general audience. This definition excludes natural events such as earthquakes or hurricanes. The Public event type table is a controlled vocabulary under governance of DG COMM. It is published by the Publications Office of the European Union and disseminated on the EU Vocabularies website.
